We are exclusively funding startups emanating from the University of Buffalo and its partner institutions (Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute, Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, Kaleida Health and the Jacobs Institute).
We have a preference for startups based on research-derived innovations, but will consider student lead startups where appropriate.
We will lead pre-seed investments (typically $50K - $100K)
We will lead seed investments (typically $100K - $250K with outside matching investment required)
We will participate in follow-on investments (up to $1M)
