The HBS Club of Washington, DC has a group of DC Metro area Harvard alumni committed to promoting entrepreneurship in the local start-up community by investing in early-to-growth stage businesses.
We facilitate investment opportunities for our members in companies founded by Harvard and non-Harvard alums from across all industry sectors. In the past, HBS Alumni Angels have played a diverse range of roles including “money only” passive investor, board member, CEO mentor, operating advisor and facilitator of introductions for executive and employee placements. Our involvement in your company will vary from deal to deal.
Our Process: We invite companies from all sectors to submit their business plans for funding. Our geographic focus includes, but is not limited to, the DC Metro area.
The key steps in the application process are as follows:
1) An application must be submitted through this website.
2) We do not host regular pitch events but convene on an ad-hoc basis when enough members express interest in a company. Companies that make it through the preliminary screening conducted by our members are then invited to present in person.
We invite you to share your company information with us. Click the link at the bottom of this email to accept the invitation. We use Gust to track our deals, so if you already have a Gust account you can use your existing Gust startup profile.
