Student dropouts cost Australian universities $1.4 billion per year. Three major reasons for student attrition (dropouts) are; feelings of isolation and loneliness, perceived lack of support and poor sense of belonging. UCROO addresses these issues by allowing students and staff to communicate and connect effectively within a private online social network. 4 Universities are undertaking a staged release in semester one, 2014.
