Michael Harrison received degrees in mathematics from Caltech and the University of Washington with an emphasis on algebraic number theory. After teaching for several years, he worked at several financial companies as both a quantitative analyst and an engineer. He then joined Google in 2007 where he worked as a software engineer for 5½ years. He left Google in early 2013 to found Socratica.
Kimberly Hatch Harrison
Kimberly Hatch Harrison received degrees in Biology & English Literature from Caltech before working in pharmaceuticals research. She then continued her studies in Molecular Biology at Princeton, where she began teaching as a grad student. Her success in teaching convinced her to leave research & turn to teaching, accepting a position at an exclusive prep school. She taught biology & chemistry for 8 years before leaving to co-found of Socratica.
