Promethient develops and markets ThermavanceTM technology for personal heating and cooling using solid state electronics and state-of-the-art graphene.
The Promethient heated and cooled seat (patent pending) increases a person’s comfort and saves energy in vehicles and buildings by providing a personal comfort zone reducing the need to heat and cool spaces. It uniquely melds solid-state cooling/heating technology with graphene technology and can be incorporated in seating structures with little modification of existing seating structures. In addition, for office or other semi-mobile seating, the system can be powered wirelessly, giving freedom of movement and no wire tethers. The technology can be integrated into the IoT with wireless control devices. Distributed, personalized thermal zones are comfortable and save energy, especially when communicating with a smart thermostat. The technology is being extended into garments for applications ranging from medical to military.
Promethient will work with customers to integrate the technology into their products. We sell the heating/cooling ‘engine’, control electronics, and develop the IoT interface and strategy.
Go-To Market Strategy:
In early 2018, Promethient announced the Thermavance brand for solid state heating and cooling. Contact with targeted dominant global sellers of automotive seating (Tier 1), office furniture, power sports vehicles (ATV, motorcycles, golf cars, etc.) and medical equipment suppliers has begun. Faurecia, a tier one automotive supplier invested in Promethient in May 2018 and has been assisting with product development and strategy.
Telling our Story:
The new marketing strategy will focus on realizing the goal of "Human Scaled Climate Control." This basic idea quickly communicates our value proposition and it crosses all market verticals. Channels for this message will include a more compelling web site, press releases, YouTube demonstration videos, white papers, trade shows and additional targeted direct contact marketing.
Given limited resources and time, qualification of opportunities and focus is key. Promethient will prioritize opportunities based on concept feasibility, margin, lead time, short and long term revenue potential, availability of development funding, and IP/Exclusivity arrangements.
Promethient will immediately work to hire a Program Manager, a Admin/Sales Assistant and an Engineering Technician. A variety of additional specialized services will continue to be contracted including CAD work, specialized electronics and controls consulting, accounting, and marketing. Manufacturing will be subcontracted. We will focus on product development, customer development and customer satisfaction
