The retractor is deployed through a 1-cm trocar and inflated once inside the abdominal cavity to allow it to gently “catch” and retract the organs away to create a stable operating field. This retractor has multiple features including a the ability to be held in place for a long period of time without the need for additional surgical personnel by connecting it to a bed clamp. It can be used by general surgeons, urologists and gynecologists.
