    Christopher Marx

    Christopher Marx developed the fundamental technology while an Associate Professor of Biology at Harvard University. He is a molecular and evolutionary microbiologist who uses experimental and mathematical approaches to study the function and evolution of biological systems. Having over 16 years of direct experience, he developed nearly every genetic tool used in KnipBio's biocatalyst and has extensive knowledge with this model system.

  • Catherine is the Vice President of R&D and brings a wealth of scientific experience as the former Associate Director of Strain Engineering at Genomatica and before that as a scientist at Verenium (Diversa). She received her degrees in Biochemistry from the Universite de Montpellier in France, masters in Food Science from ISIM, a doctorate from INRA and completed post-doctoral studies at the Universities of California, Davis and Berkeley.
