    Dr. Charles A. Garcia is an internationally recognized researcher, clinician, and surgeon. A Tulane graduate in 1969 and residency and internship at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston. Fellowship in Cornea and External Disease Baylor College of Medicine in 1970. Clinical practice focuses on various vitreo retinal diseases and finding a treatment for Retinitis Pigmentosa and Retinal Dystrophies.

    Professor Alex N. Ignatiev, PhD
    Vice President and Founding Member

    Professor Ignatiev is the Director of the Center for Advanced Materials Professor of Physics, Chemistry, Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Houston. Dr. Ignatiev earned his B.S. in Physics and Applied Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin and his Ph.D. in Materials Science from Cornell. His current research interests are focused on advanced thin film materials and device development in energy and biotech areas.

    Elizabeth Garibay graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelors of Science 1998. She joined Dr. Garcia in the research department and business development. She currently serves as Practice and Graduate Medical Education Administrator and Research Coordinator for The Retinal Vascular Center.

    Dr. Boksha, started his career in the semiconductor industry and has 30+ years of high-tech and business experience. He earned his Ph.D. in Microelectronics and a M.Sc. in Physics. He has worked on design and manufacturing; initially at Technology Modeling Associates, Inc. (Palo Alto, CA; IPO in 1996), and then with OPC Technology, Inc. He holds M.Sc. in Management from MIT Sloan School of Management after completing the Sloan Fellows Program.
