Company Summary

Cardinal Rule restaurant is a vibrant little restaurant/bar catering to the West of end of Toronto. We have a variety of offering from brunch/lunch/dinner to carnivore fare/veggie/vegan and gluten free options. We make 90% of our food fresh and believe that real food, mixed with love, should be used as much as possible. We not only believe in honest food, but honest service and value our close relationship with the neighbourhood we are in.

    Katie has been in and out of the service industry since the age of 18 only taking a sabbatical to go to school for interior design and work in that field for a couple of years. She always missed the interaction and feeling of working in service. She learned a lot about what she should or should not do in this industry along the way.

    Marta has been in kitchens since before she even finished her culinary trainging at George Brown. She has worked in almost every avenue from fine dining to large scale catering to family style pub fare.
    She love the atmosphere of these types of restaurant but felt to passion in the food had been lost and brings that honesty into the food she prepares at Cardinal Rule
