Company Summary

Advano is commercializing a platform technology called Reactive High Energy Ball Milling. With a “scale-first” philosophy, we consolidate a multi-step approach into a single-step that is facile, rapid and highly efficient, producing silicon nanoparticles at ton-scale and 1/1,000th the cost. Leveraging surface chemistry, 3D-nanostructuring and ton-scale manufacturing, Advano circumvents inadequate sourcing enabling their use at ton-scale.

  • Patrick has over 15+ years operational experience with high-tech ventures. He founded and served as President of Sirigen, an advanced materials company, acquired by Becton; Dickinson and Co. Patrick has a BA and Certificate in Entrepreneurship & Engineering Management from UCSB where he continues to serve as a Mentor for the Technology Management Program. He has served in numerous executive roles for startups.

    CTO, President, Founder

Alex was an initial innovator on Advano's core technology while in the Ph.D. program at Tulane. He has gained experience as a chemical engineer consultant on assets valued over $1B for Fortune 500 companies and an early stage biofuels venture backed by Bill Gates and Khosla Ventures. He is also a mentor at the Cleantech Open. Alex has a M.S. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Tulane and a B.S. in Chemistry and Mathematics from Loyola.

  • Dr. Adireddy is Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at Tulane University. He has over 30+ publications, several patents and book chapters on nanomaterials design, manufacturing, characterization and device physics. Because of Advano's tie to Tulane University, he works jointly at Advano and Tulane University. He completed his Ph.D. in Advanced Materials Research Institute at University of New Orleans.
