Company Summary

VSE responds to the return of manufacturing to the United States, and to the need for reduced testing and manufacturing costs, especially with circuit boards, which exist in every product that uses electricity, from cell phones to missiles. With an initial focus on defense and power industries, VSE provides services and customized software in the form of PREVIEW, a unique software system for virtual analysis and test of printed circuit boards.

    Chief Research Officer (CRO) & Treasurer

    Dr. Ozbolat is an assistant professor for the UI’s Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering and a researcher at the Center for Computer-Aided Design. He has B.S.s in industrial engineering and mechanical engineering from Middle East Technical University in Turkey and a Ph.D. in industrial & systems engineering from the University at Buffalo, SUNY. He specializes in manufacturing, design, modeling and simulation, and tissue engineering.

    CEO

    Mr. Reininga is the program adviser at the Center for Computer-Aided Design and the director of The National Advanced Driving Simulator at the UI. He is on the leadership council for the Next Generation Manufacturing Technology Initiative. He was the senior vice president of operations at Rockwell Collins for 30 years, responsible for management of global production and material operations.

  • Tim Marler
    President

    Dr. Marler is the assis. director of the Virtual Soldier Research Program, and co-director of the Adv. Manufacturing Tech. Program at UI. He is a licensed engineer with a Ph.D. in mech. engineering. His expertise focuses on R&D management, human modeling, and model-based manufacturing. He has worked as a manufacturing, software, and design engineer. He is the CRO at Santos Human Inc., a start-up company that works with human-modeling software.

  • Ross Johnson
    Chief Technical Officer (CTO)

    Mr. Johnson is the principal consultant and co-founder of Mazira LLC, an early stage company specializing in cloud-based data mining, processing, visualization solutions. He worked as a researcher and technical team lead, at the UI Virtual Soldier Research Program, focusing on human modeling and software development. He was a primary developer involved in the early stages of PREVIEW. He has a B.S. in electrical & computer engineering.
