We have developed a novel cell selection protocol based on post-transcriptional regulation that we call PTSelect. PTSelect eliminates the need for antibiotics to perform selection and replaces them with an siRNA and performs selection with transfected mRNA. PTSelect can save biological drug manufacturers billions of dollars by increasing the yield of their drug in any cell line because cells only make the drug and no other proteins.
