About this Program
The Zahn Innovation Center, a program of the City College Fund, is an embedded incubator & accelerator within The City College of New York established in late 2012 with the goal of mobilizing the entire City College of New York community around entrepreneurship. The Center fosters innovation & entrepreneurship on one of the most diverse campuses in the nation. Supporting hardware, software & social entrepreneurs, we provide access to mentors from various industries, legal services, cutting-edge prototyping facilities (including 3D printing & laser cutting) & other programming.
Cohorts work in yearly cycles starting with "Ideation" which fields about 1000 individuals for hackathons, idea jams & public speaking events. These individuals apply to be one of the 28 teams in our incubator competition where they take their company from idea to MVP and compete to win $150k in prizes. 10 teams are accepted into our accelerator where we assist in their growth from MVP to their first 1000 customers and introduction to investors.
