Promoting the Integrity in Agri-food Supply Chains in Asia

About this Accelerator

Asia’s population is expected to increase from 4.6 billion to 5.3 billion in 2050(1). With limited arable land and natural resources available, improving food production will be key to meet the increased demand for food and changing consumer preferences. As agri-food supply chains are increasingly interconnected - from input companies to farmers, traders, food companies and retailers – data and innovation are key to meet the increased demand for food.

As one of the world’s leading Food & Agri banks, we take our responsibility in helping achieve global food security very seriously, and are bringing our knowledge and networks to innovative solutions. We are pleased to launch SustainableAg Asia Challenge, an Innovation Challenge brought to you by Rabobank and Rabo Foundation, around which leading corporates and ecosystem enablers (such as ADB Ventures, ADM, Bayer, Bits & Bites, DSM, Olam, Temasek) have rallied as Partners.

Agtech companies with innovative solutions that promote the integrity in agri-food supply chains in Asia are invited to apply. Solutions could be in the area of: sustainable farming practices, inclusivity of smallholder farmers, traceability and food safety, data integrity & sharing as well as improving access to new markets.

The 15 shortlisted applicants will stand the opportunity to supercharge their company's exposure to the industry, by pitching their solutions to leaders from our Partner organisations in Singapore on 10 October 2019. The Top 5 stand to win cash prizes, as well as an exclusive invitation to present their solution to C-level executives of Asia’s largest food and agribusiness corporates, during Rabobank’s annual Food & Agri Advisory Board Meeting in Shanghai on 31 October.
