Cicada MedLab

Cicada MedLab is a 12-week, mentor-driven accelerator program for early-stage founders who are building high-growth, disruptive medtech businesses. Based out of Cicada Innovations’ premises in Sydney, MedLab provides startups with the tools they need to successfully grow and scale a medtech business. This includes a $50k cash investment, the support of a dedicated program team and as well as expertise, connections and mentoring provided by a incredible group of business mentors, investors and industry experts.

Throughout MedLab, founders are pushed to their limits to ensure they have a sound product that customers need and are committed to purchase, know their business back to front - from their regulatory pathway to their quality management system to their financial model - and have a compelling story to take to investors as they begin to raise their first or early round of capital.

The program culminates in a private Demo Day event, giving startups a chance to pitch to the cream of Australia’s deep tech ecosystem, including investors from premier VC funds both within Australia and beyond its shores.

After the program, graduating companies have the option to remain within Cicada’s co-working space for a further three months and beyond that, may be invited to join Cicada Innovations' incubator - Australia’s largest deep tech community - for further support and subsidised office space for up to five years.
