A Different Kind of Accelerator

About this Program

SKTA Innopartners will host its second season of the Foundry this coming Fall. Up to 12 startups will be selected to participate in an intensive 10-week acceleration program, with 1-on-1 coaching and workshops by industry veterans and affiliated partners. The goal of the program is to help accelerate pre-seed / seed stage startups in different aspects of their businesses, and prepare them for their first professional capital investment and beyond.

2) Communications – NFC, 802.11ax, 5G, Video Processing, NFV, SDN, SD-Security and more
3) IoT / Sensors – IoT platforms, Smart Robots, Connected Home, Autotech, Smart Dust, etc.
4) Cloud / IT / Cybersecurity – Storage, Microservices, Big Data, Hybrid-Cloud Management, Security Analytics, etc.

PROGRAM DETAILS

1) The Foundry will run for 10 weeks, starting the week of August 28.
2) Founders are expected to spend 3-4 hours per week with the Mentors to review a series of issues about the business.
3) Topics to review include customer pain points, market segmentation, competitive landscape, roadmap, business model, as well as customer development. Depending on the needs, founders could choose to spend more time in some specific areas.
4) Several SKTA service provider partners will also be invited to give workshops on IP strategy, corporate laws, commercial agreements, fund raising, and financial planning and modeling.
5) Founders are provided access to the SKTA co-working space.
6) Other community events will also be organized, like roundtables, happy hours etc. that founders and mentors can attend as their schedules permit.
