About this Program
The Annual Fire Pitch Competition is an initiative to spotlight the nation’s best women-led digital health startups. We hope to build a platform that connects women entrepreneurs and strengthens the healthcare innovation ecosystem by addressing funding disparities between men and women.
Finalists will receive an invitation to pitch to a group of healthcare executives from the Houston/Austin area including the world renown Texas Medical Center's facilities as well as investors from across the country on October 17th at IGNITE Healthcare Network's third annual Fire Pitch competition held at TMCx.
Ignite Fire Pitch is unique as it pairs semi-finalists with Customer Partners for a 10 week Customer Discovery Program. At the conclusion of the Program entrepreneurs will receive specific feedback from the Customer Partner and finalists will be chosen based on the feedback. Finalists will then be paired with investor coaches and industry experts to prepare for the competition. Customer Partners and coaches are listed on the Ignite website.
The finalists will compete for the $15,000 grand prize along with other perks to help accelerate growth. In order to qualify, companies must have at least one female in an executive role: founder, CEO, COO, CTO, or CMO, and be operating for twelve months or more. All entries must be received by June 3, 2019 in order to qualify.
Prize Package
Winner: $15,000 convertible note + Admission to Jan 2020 TMCx Digital Health Accelerator and $2,500 Cash and one year IGNITE membership
Runners Up: (1) Admission to Jan 2020 TMCx Digital Health Accelerator and $1,000 cash and one year IGNITE membership (2) Six month J Lab residency + $1,000 cash and one year IGNITE membership
