About this Program

Utilising a 15-month focused industry-led curriculum, The Actuator Accelerator Program will take Seed ventures to Series A investment; leading into clinical trials, advanced manufacturing, and at-scale technology deployment. Through intensive mentorship, industry collaboration, and value-network support, our startups can achieve in 15 months what can typically take 3 years or more.

The Actuator will admit 20+ start-ups into the Accelerator Program annually through two rounds (February and July), and with the support from corporate partners, prepare them for future capital raisings, clinical trials and market launch. Milestone momentum is rewarded with multiple capital injection points and the program is tightly linked to startup pathways across the globe. The expected outcome is a globally competitive medtech company that has raised $2.7M+ in Angel and Series A round funding, and is well underway in their clinical trials.

For the first 6 months of the program, our startups undertake one-week focused sprints each month, tackling common high-risk challenges in the medtech commercialisation pathway. "Down time" between sprints, is spent incorporating learnings and working towards their next milestone, alongside rigorous mentoring, coaching and leadership support. Cohort companies transition to a mentoring approach in the second half of the program, meeting monthly with their mentors and focusing on implementing on the plan and achieving key milestones. At the end of the program, we will coordinate an Investor Road Show, where companies meet with tailored and relevant corporates, corporate venturing, venture capital, angel investors, or potential collaborators.
