Barb Gauld brings over 20 years of fashion industry experience to the team. A knit maven, she has designed clothing for Tommy Bahama, Eddie Bauer, Cutter & Buck, and May Co. She also designed and produced her own line, Vertitude. Talented and creative, Barb brings a unique sense of style to the TomboyX brand and oversees all creative decisions and designs the company makes.

At 25 Fran was an administrator and at 30 an Executive Director of a human services agency with 40 employees. At 35, following a dream and a passion, she went to film school with her sights set on becoming a Producer. After a decade of success in video production, she began to be bothered by a lack of clothing options to suite her tomboy style. She felt compelled to fix it- so started a clothing line and named it TomboyX.

Naomi manages all of the web backend, vendors, shipping & customer service for TomboyX. Two years ago she posed the question "How hard can it be to start a clothing line?" and has spent the past 2 years finding out. She has been the steady driving force in taking TomboyX from an idea to a company posting revenues in excess of projected goals in less than a year. Prior to that she ran her own small business that she grew to $100k in 9 months.

Julie brings 30+ years experience developing and manufacturing ready to wear and performance appar-el. Her work encompasses domestic and global factories and mills producing for The Limited Brands, Nordstrom, Reebok, Eddie Bauer, better women’s brands, and local start-ups. Hands on experience, knowing how to execute the entire product lifecycle, Julie is a creative problem solver with the entre-preneurial energy that makes ideas come to life.

Amanda Nelson was the 15th employee of Nasty Gal and now uses her expertise to help fashion apparel and accessory brands, retailers and wholesalers address the specific challenges of growth and brand consistency in the omni-channel landscape. She identifies, develops and helps implement solutions targeted toward rapid growth.

Shena is an artist & an entrepreneur, & has spent her life & career engaging with community & culture, translating the things we love, breathe, & are scared of into visual language. Representation, identity, & the connection between people are the pillars of her work. Those interests are what drew her to TomboyX and it’s unique mission. She guides the visual communications of the company, with the goal of an inspiring & cohesive brand identity.
