  • David has spent much of the past five years in Central America organizing cultural events, retreats, and ecovillage design courses. He also spent considerable time managing volunteers at a farm and worked with an indigenous artisan cooperative in Guatemala. His experience and BA in Political Economy of Industrial Societies and Global Poverty & Practice from UC Berkeley are a pivotal foundation to the inspiration of NuMundo.

    Shayna is an international eco-network weaver, entrepreneur, consultant, event producer and life-long earth-steward and has spent the past 2 years in Latin America connecting with local community and land regeneration projects. Shayna’s wide passion for building relationships, her eye for branding and her inspiring voice on social media are essential to the operations and marketing of NuMundo.

    Developer

    Eric Garcia is a data scientist for NuMundo. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington with a focus in the design and application of big data algorithms. He has experience building web applications for two technology startups in the last 4 years with a focus on scalable backend architectures. He also has 10 years experience developing scalable distributed architectures for data mining.

    Erika Logie is the Creative Director for NuMundo. She has worked for 10 years in the field of user experience, interaction design, and user interface design. Before becoming a full-time freelancer focusing on social impact projects, she worked for HUGE, one of the top ten digital ad agencies in the world. Previous clients have included high-grossing companies such as Disney, Fox, ABC and NBC.

  • Full-stack Developer

    Paul Wand is an iOS developer and software engineer with experience in C++, Objective C, Kinect, Emotiv Epoch, jquery, C# .net, MVC2, Photoshop, CoffeeScript, Python, Google App Engine, Java, DSP, and Angular JS. His goal is to work on exciting and challenging projects. His biggest interests are in cutting edge hardware interfaces like the iPad, Emotiv Epoch and the Xbox Kinect. He’s also interested in Neural networks and distributed computing.

  • Lukas Sommer is a developer and web designer, a skilled media professional with experience in photography and video editing. He's been traveling the world for the last 2 years with his project Good Things Everywhere, bartering skills for NGOs and social projects. Fluent in Portuguese, German, English and Spanish, and now based in Brazil, his focus is on project management, front-end styling, functionality and SEO.

  • International Communnications Director

    Katia is a world traveler, polyglot, communicator, marketer and writer. She is constantly exploring new cultures and is fascinated by global dexterity, sustainability and yoga. Katia holds a Bachelor’s in Social and Political Science and a Masters in Marketing and Market Research from Sciences Po Paris. Fluent in English, Spanish, Russian, French, and now learning Portuguese, she is currently based in Brazil as an Ambassador for South America.

  • Project Manager

    Alex has spent much of the past 10 years working with international tech companies, helping improve communication, organization and prioritization. After experiencing waste and inefficiencies associated with much of the corporate world, his goal of right livelihood is to dedicate his professional time towards earth-improving projects, like NuMundo.
