    He comes from a varied and extensive professional background. He studied a bachelor of engineering degree at Liverpool John Moores university, immediately after which, he was selected by the oilfield service company Schlumberger to work worldwide creating and implementing electrical submersible pumps into oil reservoirs. After this, Thomas then Joined the Metropolitan police.
