Emerging companies may have terrific ideas, but not necessarily all of the skills, experience and resources in place to grow and prosper. In response to this need, VCET offers entrepreneurs an incubator program and seed capital fund.

VCET Incubator Program: Offers select early stage firms substantive business mentoring along with traditional business incubator services and infrastructure. VCET team members and partners work closely with start-up teams or individual entrepreneurs helping to crystallize concepts, assemble teams, craft business models, secure resources and locate early customers.

VCET Seed Capital: Looking for select investment opportunities in early stage, high opportunity, technology based companies in Vermont. (Ineligible sectors are restaurants, retail and real estate.) Objectives are to impact next generation job and wealth creation in Vermont by providing companies and entrepreneurs access to early stage risk capital. VCET expects their investments to generate market rate returns commensurate with the business risks at the early seed stage. Returns must be sufficient to support evergreen (i.e., revolving) of this fund for future investment.
