Our Investment Focus

The Pasadena Angels is a group of leading private investors who provide long-term human and financial capital to help build successful companies. Ranked one of the top ten angel groups in the US by Forbes in 2015, 2018 and Angel Research Institute in 2017. We invested more than $94 million dollars of early-stage capital in over 230 companies since 2000. Pasadena Angels funded companies have gone on to raise over $1Billion from additional funding sources such as venture capital and private equity. Our members, with many years of collective leadership experience, provide the resources to ensure the success of our portfolio companies. The Pasadena Angels invest in early-stage companies in a broad range of industries including, but not limited to technology, that have the potential to build sustainable and successful businesses. The Pasadena Angels charge no fees for its services.

We look for companies that have the following characteristics: Large market opportunity with sufficient untapped potential *Minimum viable product* Scalable business with prospects for rapid growth * Compelling and defendable market differentiation * Product proof-of-concept * Well defined sales/marketing strategy with strong understanding of market and customer base * Compelling business model and financing plan that leads to profitability, positive cash flow, and reasonable returns for an investor * Intellectual Property - proprietary and defendable (patented or patentable) processes or applications
