William S. Podd serves as the Executive Director of Landmark Angels, Inc, a private angel group located in Greenwich, Connecticut that invests in companies with the potential for exceptional growth. Mr. Podd, also the President and CEO of Landmark Capital Corporation, completed more than $3 billion in financings as a corporate finance banker and a lawyer. While a partner at the law firm of Kramer, Levin, he led the debt analysis group that helped structure Hurwitz’s acquisition of Kaiser Aluminum. As senior vice president at Lehman Brothers, he specialized in both municipal and corporate finance. Throughout his career Mr. Podd has developed significant business relationships with venture capital firms, pension funds, life insurance companies and utilities. Mr. Podd has served as president of an early stage enterprise software company that offered its customers real-time systems integration and operations automation software based upon technology developed at The Draper Laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. While president, Mr. Podd negotiated intellectual property rights, redefined core strategy, grew revenues from $0.5 million to $5 million, and brought the company to profitability. He chaired the ‘Capital Access’ Task Force of the Connecticut Technology Council in 2003. The Task Force advises the Connecticut Technology Council on new financing initiatives to encourage equity investment for software companies in the state. Mr. Podd is a Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude graduate of The University of Notre Dame, where he received his A.B. degree. He received his J.D. degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.
